Subscribers Control Panel

This control panel lists the subscribers associated with a list. The subscribers can come (usually will come) from the subscription page on your website, OR you can enter a subscriber yourself. You would do that by using the Add a Subscriber button. Let's look at that first:

Defining a New Subscriber

When you press the Add a Subscriber button, you’ll see a page that asks for:

  • Subscriber Name
  • Subscriber Email

And that’s it. Now just hit the Add Subscriber button, and the subscriber is added. You next see a screen which shows you what you entered.

Subscribers List

At this point, you go back to the Subscribers Control Panel. And what do you see? You see a list of all the subscribers on this list.

Let’s look at this:

It shows you the Name and Email. When you click on the word Modify on the same line as the Name, it takes you to a screen that looks just like the Add Subscriber screen. Here’s where you can make changes to the subscriber, if you need to. (The Modify Subscriber screen also includes the Verification field, so that you can manually verify the subscription, if needed.) You can also choose to Remove the subscriber completely, if you wish. You would put a check mark in the Remove column, and then click the Delete Checked Subscribers button at the bottom of the list.

Note that word Name at the very top of the list in the colored row can be clicked on. If you do so, it will show you the list sorted by Subscriber Name. The same is true of the Email column.

Find Email. Let's say you have a list with 900 subscribers. How do you locate a given subscriber easily?  That's the purpose of the Find Email button.  Just type in part (or all) of the email address and click the button. It will find all occurences of that text. Whereupon you can delete or edit that subscriber's email or name.  This is one way to remove a number of email addresses that are no longer working.

Toggle Unverified.  By clicking this button, you will see ONLY the unverified subscribers. Clicking it again will restore the view of all the subscribers. (An unverified subscriber is one who has NOT confirmed their subscription.) To send a message to all unverified subscribers ONLY, just click this button, and then Send a Message. Note that the column header, when Toggle Unverified is ON, reads Unverified Email.

Manage Log.  This will show you the log of the results of a mailing after you have sent a message. See Manage Log.
