Question: why would you need to export or import?

Answer: because you can backup the surveys that way.

If you want to move your surveys system to a new server, you'd need to export your surveys to text files. You'd need those text files when you moved the system to the new server.

Alternatively, if you want to have your own database of surveys on your own computer, this is a way to create TAB-delimited files which most other programs can use to import.

The exported surveys text files are called maxquestions.txt and maxanswers.txt

These two files are in the Max Surveys folder on your website, and need to be FTP'ed to your computer, if you wish to move them physically.

Important Note: if you use Import of Surveys, it will append to whatever is already in the database.  Possibly creating duplicates (unless the database is empty to start with.)
