Newsletter and Subscription Systems

I can't begin to tell you how important a periodical newsletter is. You see, the idea is to grab people when they visit your site. You may be getting lots of folks who visit and say, "That's nice..."  --  and then leave.

But if you capture their email addresses, you can keep reminding them that you exist, and when they read more of your wonderful articles, that will encourage them to accept whatever else you have to offer. You would use 60 or 70 percent of the newsletter for inspirational articles, and the rest would talk about your great offerings.

This is the way it's done by so many of my clients. (And everyone else on the Internet.) You capture a visitor's email address by having a sign-up form on your pages, especially your home page. Capture their interest, establish a relationship (through the newsletter) and they'll want whatever you're offering! Guaranteed!

You put your personality in the newsletter. Little bits of sharing what's going on, in your life, will immensely help to establish the relationship. Once you've got a good relationship with your subscribers, they'll be your best customers.

It's Really Easy!

And yes, there is an easy way to setup a newsletter so you don't have to do much. I've been enthusing my clients about a system called PHP List. It's such a great package.

It's a free downloadable system I've installed on several clients site. It's handles all the subscription sign-ups, changes and remove-me's automatically. You just put a sign-up page on your site, and voila! You don't need to get involved with list maintenance -- which can take lots of time without an automatic system like PHPList.

All you need do is create the text of your newsletter each month (or whatever period you choose) and then fill it into a form, and push the Send button to send it out to all your subscribers. Couldn't be easier!

It's All Automatic

With this PHP-List package, we simply setup a small Subscribe form on your home page. When the visitor hits Submit, everything is taken care of. The subscribers email gets added to the subscription list, an automatic Thank-You letter is sent (which we create together, of course) and when the user gets the email, they must click on a link to confirm the subscription. But it's all automatic.

Here's an example.

And every email and newsletter which is thereafter sent includes links to pages where they can change their email address or unsubscribe. In other words, you don't have to do any list maintenance. That's a huge benefit for a website owner.

Then when you're ready to send a newsletter (which is whatever you want it to be), it gets entered into a form on your website -- and you press a button to send it -- to the whole list of subscribers -- just like that!

Very sweet! And I know how hard it can be because I've been doing it "by hand" for years -- and this package automates everything.

It takes a few hours for me to set it up for you. And then it always takes another hour or so, as we go back and forth about what the thank-you emails should say, etc, etc. And your training on how you use it to send newsletters. (Don't worry -- it's easy.)

Highly recommended!

To have PHP-List installed on your website, just contact me using this Contact Form and mention PHP-List in your message. (This Contact Form is another one of my website add-ons, by the way.)

And now, how would you like to be able to easily generate your own newsletter? Without knowing anything about web publishing?
